Endometriosis, Adenomyosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain
Women suffer from unexplained pelvic pain for many years before the pain is formally diagnosed. There are numerous cases of endometriosis and adenomyosis being common and undiagnosed, as well as cases of chronic pelvic pain having multifactorial etiology going outside the realm of gynecological disorders. In this session, we will discuss how imaging and a multidisciplinary approach may aid in timely diagnosis, and we will consider medical, surgical, and fertility-preserving treatment methods aimed at helping women feel comfortable again.
What you will learn:
• Symptoms identification and reduced time to diagnose
• The use of ultrasound and MRI to diagnose endometriosis and adenomyosis
• Medical, surgical, and fertility-preserving treatment approaches
• A multidisciplinary approach to managing pelvic pain
