Biography
Sue-Marie Majeed is a final-year medical student at King’s College London with a strong interest in women’s health, medical education, and reducing healthcare disparities. Her work focuses on identifying gaps within undergraduate curricula, particularly in relation to sex-specific differences in disease presentation and the underrepresentation of women in research. Motivated by a recognised gap in teaching on women’s health, she collaborated with peers to design and conduct a national cross-sectional survey exploring awareness and confidence among UK medical students and doctors.
This work highlights important deficiencies in current training and supports the need for more comprehensive integration of women’s health topics into medical education. Her broader interests include advocacy, early intervention, and promoting equity within healthcare systems, with a commitment to improving education and patient outcomes for diverse populations.
